Description
Cyrex Array 14 — Mucosal Immune Reactivity Screen™
The mucosal immune system — particularly secretory IgA (sIgA) — is the first line of immune defence in the gut, respiratory tract, and mucous membranes. Array 14 assesses sIgA-mediated immune reactivity against 28 dietary and environmental antigens at the mucosal surface, revealing immune activation patterns not detectable by standard serum IgG/IgA testing.
Antigens Tested (Salivary IgA):
- Wheat/Gluten fractions (α-Gliadin, Glutenin)
- Cow’s Milk proteins (Casein, Whey)
- Egg (Albumin)
- Soy protein
- Corn (Zein)
- Peanut
- Almond
- Sesame
- Yeast (Baker’s and Brewer’s)
- Bacterial antigens: LPS, H. pylori, Candida albicans
- Gluten cross-reactive foods: Rice, Potato, Chocolate
- Environmental: Dust mite, Mould antigens (Aspergillus, Alternaria)
Why Mucosal IgA Matters:
Many gut and respiratory reactions are mediated at the mucosal surface via sIgA before they show up in the bloodstream. This panel reveals early-stage mucosal immune activation that serum tests miss, and is particularly useful for respiratory food allergies, digestive symptoms without positive serum tests, and oral allergy syndrome.
Sample Type:
Saliva — simple collection at home.
