Fecal Gluten Peptide — Add-On to GI-MAP®
When ordered as an add-on to the GI-MAP®, this test adds direct quantitative detection of immunogenic gluten peptide fragments to your stool analysis at a reduced cost. It objectively confirms whether dietary gluten is present in the stool — the most reliable method for verifying real-time gluten-free diet compliance.
Marker Measured:
- Fecal Gluten Immunogenic Peptides (GIP): Quantitative detection of immunotoxic gliadin peptides in stool — confirms gluten ingestion within the past 2–3 days
Clinical Applications:
- Celiac disease patients on a gluten-free diet with persistent symptoms
- Detecting inadvertent gluten cross-contamination
- Non-celiac gluten sensitivity monitoring
- Complementing Cyrex Array 3X serology with a dietary compliance marker
