How It Works

Step-by-step

How It Works

From ordering your kit to receiving your personalised report — entirely at home, every step guided.

1

Select Your Test or Start with Assessment

Choose from a curated catalogue of advanced diagnostic tests, or begin with a guided health assessment to identify the most relevant tests based on your symptoms.

5–10 min (15–20 min with assessment)

2

Order Confirmed & Kit Dispatched

Once your order is placed, a sample collection kit is shipped directly from the laboratory to your address.

2–4 days

3

Collect Sample at Home

Follow simple instructions to collect your sample (blood, urine, stool, or saliva) safely from home.

At Home

4

Send Sample to Laboratory

Your sample is returned using international courier partners. Return shipping may be pre-paid or charged separately depending on your location and the laboratory’s logistics policy.

Location-Based Shipping

5

Advanced Lab Analysis

Testing is performed in internationally accredited laboratories using high-precision diagnostic methods.

7–14 days

GLOAIA Labs is a coordination platform for international specialty diagnostic testing. The sections below explain why our integrated process works, what we are building, and the countries we currently support.

Why our process works

The four ecosystems we coordinate

🧑 Patient ecosystem — Symptom intake, family history, lifestyle context, AI-assisted test selection, account dashboard, longitudinal health timeline, report access, integrated questionnaires, future practitioner connection.

👨‍⚕️ Practitioner ecosystem — Patient case management, AI-surfaced test suggestions for review, full clinical authority over diagnostic decisions, practitioner-led ordering workflows, peer protocol library (in design), evidence integration (PubMed-anchored addendums in development).

🔬 Laboratory ecosystem — Direct partnerships with six leading US functional medicine Laboratory Partners (expanding to European and Australian labs), CLIA-certified facilities with CAP accreditation, structured report retrieval, sample-handling coordination, lab-specific compliance workflows.

📦 Logistics ecosystem — End-to-end international shipping coordination, customs documentation per destination country, courier-network coordination (FedEx, UPS, country-specific carriers), sample-return logistics with timing constraints, country-specific declaration handling.

Why integration matters

When these four ecosystems operate in isolation, the patient and the practitioner pay the integration cost. When they are integrated through a coordinated platform, the patient and the practitioner get back the most valuable resource: time and focus.

  • The patient focuses on collecting their sample correctly and discussing results with their practitioner — not on customs paperwork
  • The practitioner focuses on clinical interpretation and treatment guidance — not on logistics troubleshooting
  • The laboratory focuses on accurate testing — not on patient communication coordination
  • The logistics network focuses on reliable shipping — not on health-data interpretation
  • The platform administrator focuses on maintaining operational quality, laboratory relationships, compliance processes, and infrastructure reliability — so every other ecosystem participant can focus on their own work

This is the difference between a marketplace and a coordination platform. GLOAIA Labs is the latter.

What we are building

Smart reporting and longitudinal tracking

  • Interactive reports — charts, color-coded flags on out-of-range biomarkers, and plain-language explanations of every marker
  • Year-wise diagnostics chronology — biomarker history with year-over-year delta highlights
  • Longitudinal timeline view — the entire patient health journey as a single chronological feed
  • Integrated health questionnaires — depression screens, anxiety scales, lifestyle scoring

Clinical decision support

  • Automated flagging — admin-editable rules for clinical guidance
  • Biomarker trend analytics — time-series features with delta scoring across years
  • Risk scoring — composite indices over biomarkers, assessments, and patient profile data
  • Personalized recommendations drawn from anonymized user-segment patterns

AI-assisted features (with strict guardrails)

  • AI-assisted report reading — natural-language summaries of complex multi-marker panels
  • Personalized patient insights
  • Practitioner-side AI — patient matching by specialty/language/timezone, AI-assisted report-reading workflows

Every AI output on the platform is grounded in our deterministic rule engine. We do not let language models hallucinate on someone’s health data. AI surfaces patterns; final clinical judgment always rests with the practitioner.

Practitioner ecosystem

  • Dedicated practitioner portal — patient case management, AI-assisted report-reading workflows, scheduling and communication tools (in development)
  • Patient-practitioner matching — for patients who do not already have a preferred practitioner, the platform supports matching to practitioners by specialty, language, timezone, and patient-reported satisfaction. Patients who already work with a practitioner of their choice may continue to do so, where permitted by the relevant Laboratory Partner.
  • Protocol-sharing library (in design) — a structured repository of practitioner-contributed protocols, with recognition and transparent royalty arrangements for contributors
  • Predictive analytics — suggested follow-up tests based on patient trajectory and panel results

Telehealth and consultation

  • Audio and video consultations — direct patient-to-practitioner connection across borders (in development; rollout planned)

Evidence integration

  • PubMed-anchored addendums — alongside standard Laboratory Partner reports, we plan to offer optional addendums that surface peer-reviewed literature relevant to the patient’s specific findings

International chatbot and live-chat support (in design)

  • On-site live chat / chatbot — instant first-touch support for international visitors
  • WhatsApp Business integration — click-to-chat from website opening WhatsApp directly on the visitor’s device

Companion infrastructure

  • Sister platform for nutraceuticals — a separate forthcoming GLOAIA (Global AutoImmunity Awareness) platform at gloaia.com for ordering practitioner-recommended supplements with international dispatch. Will be announced separately when operationally ready.

A practical note on timelines: software roadmaps shift. The items above represent our active development priorities and architectural plans, not committed delivery dates. For the live current capability on any given day, please refer to our FAQ or contact us at support@gloaialabs.com.
